(Now under a 14-count federal indictment) US Sen. Robert Menendez (Dem-NJ) once interceded on behalf of Estafania Isaias, the daughter of a fugitive from Ecuador; the fugitive father was convicted in absentia for bank fraud. Isaias' relatives in Florida made significant campaign donations to Democrat Menendez's 2012 campaign, to Obama, and to the DNC.
Current and former U.S. government officials told NBC 4-TV New York that Estefania Isaias was barred from traveling to the U.S. in 2007 because she allegedly lied on visa applications in order to bring immigrants to the U.S. to work as maids at her parents’ mansion in Coral Gables, Fla.
U.S. officials alleged Estefania Isaias had falsely claimed the women were her personal business assistants. Sources familiar with the matter said U.S. consular officials in Ecuador categorized her alleged wrongdoing as a form of “human smuggling.”
After she was banned in 2007, Estefania Isaias was able to obtain numerous short-term waivers from the U.S. government, according to sources familiar with her case.
Those waivers allowed her in part to visit her father Roberto Isaias in Miami where he lives and runs several businesses. Roberto Isaias is a fugitive banker fighting extradition to Ecuador, where he was convicted in absentia for allegedly embezzling millions from the Filanbanco bank he once helped run.
In 2011, current and former officials said, the U.S. Consulate decided there should be no more waivers for Estefania Isaias. They had grown increasingly concerned about allegations of visa fraud by Estefania and other wrongdoing by her family, sources familiar with the case said.
The Isaias family turned to Sen. Robert Menendez for help, sources said. Around that time, Isaias family members in Florida made campaign donations: more than $11,000 to Senator Menendez’s 2012 campaign, and more than $125,000 to the Obama Victory Fund and the Democratic National Committee.

The NY Times later reported the Obama administration overturned the ban preventing the wealthy, politically connected Ecuadorean from entering the US........ after her family gave tens of thousands of dollars to Democratic campaigns, and more than $125,000 to the Obama Victory Fund, according to finance records and government officials.
Estefanía Isaías, had been barred from the US after falsifying visas applications for her maids. But the ban was lifted at the request of the then-Secy of State Hillary Clinton so that Ms. Isaías could work for an Obama fund-raiser. (Excerpt) Read more at nytimes.com ...

MENENDEZ'S CORRUPTION CATALOGUE--- POLITICO'S KEVIN CIRILLI reported 3/6/13 that Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ) said it isn’t necessary for him to return to the Dominican Republic after a judge there looking into underage prostitution allegations indicated that he wants to hear from the New Jersey Democrat or a representative on his behalf.
“We’ll have our lawyer look at it, but the bottom line is they don’t need me to pursue all of the interests and issues that lie within the Dominican Republic,” Menendez told The New Jersey Star-Ledger. “I don’t know what I could tell them that would change anything.”
Menendez has been mired in controversy amid claims that he visited with underage prostitutes in the Dominican Republic while staying with Salomon Melgen, a Florida doctor and campaign donor. Menendez has denied the allegations.
Menendez has maintained all along that he never paid prostitutes for sex, said he is looking forward to whatever evidence emerges from courts in the Dominican Republic to vindicate him.

We live in a world of crooked dems like Pelosi, Reid, Kennedy Clintons. Dirty dirty people who are the equivalents of any filthy tin pot dictator stealing from their people, and in any clean and righteous government would have been brought up on trials for being on the take, and treason.
Wow. Menendez could wind up being a national hero. I hope he and his gangster buddies can think this through.
I think they’re pursuing this case against Menendez as a warning to other Dems to toe the line and stay loyal to ‘the One’.
Now I know why Hillary can’t state any foreign policy successes. All of her “successes” were illegal.

Protesters gathered outside the Clinton Foundation in Harlem to complain about "missing money" from the US State Dept's recovery effort for the 2010 Haitian earthquake:
They protested outside the offices of the Clinton Foundation, which helped lead the reconstruction fund. They claimed that the US State Dept's $10 billion meant to help rebuild Haiti did little to help the country after the devastating 2010 quake. And that much of the money went to non-Haitian companies.
The Haitian-American protesters also claimed that American aid to Haiti was a cover for foreign governments to funnel kickbacks of hundreds of millions of dollars to The Clinton Foundation. They believe Hillary was doing favors for the foreign governments while she was Secretary of State.
