Too much water is being sucked up and transported to other galaxies. This has happened before and we were left with pyramids in exchange. Maybe it will turn out for the best again.

When L A bans the filling of a all swimming pools then I’ll believe California is serious about water.

When the over 3 million illegals (that they admit to) and their anchor babies are gone if we still need to I will conserve water. Til then they can KMA! And oh yeah, when they stop sending the majority of our water out to sea to save a stupid fish.

From drought-resistant landscaping to hiring scuba divers to repair pools LOL. What a pampered society we've become when landscaping and swimming pool repair are considered "drastic measures." Come back to me when you have no drinking water.

Maybe hey should reconsider the high speed railroad and think “desalination?”

I used to live on the Monterey Peninsula. There was constant whining from libs and environmental weenies about the shortage of water in the semi arid Carmel Valley. They moaned every year about the slowing flow of water in the Carmel River and the dangerously low water levels in the lakes high in the valley. They also had their panties in a wad about an abandoned concrete plant and dredge on the coast in Monterey Bay.
But, when a serious a serious attempt to build a desalination plant on the former site of the concrete plant was being put to the voters, the enviro-weenies from up and down the coast converged on the area and fought it down. There is no middle ground with these people. No solutions for actual good can be found with them.
It's a bit like John Doofus Kerry flapping his jaws in Iran.

I dint have any details but from what I understand desalinization met a somewhat similar fate here some years ago when after the voters approved a plant...some government bureaucracy stepped in and shut the idea down cold

If I remember right, the plant that was proposed at the old Sand City plant site was going to be powered mostly by tidal energy and not produce any measurable airborne waste. It had all the right whistles and bells, but still couldn't make the greenies happy.
So following suit with the dam resistance and water retention opposition, the Salinas River flows happily into the sea along with so many others as the government plunders BILLIONS on top of BILLIONS into the high speed rail train to no where.

The waters from Sacramento RIver...and so many others..end up in the ocean.
The nitiwitted knuckleheads in Sacramento have known for years that there would come a time when we’d need.....that water...and yet...they either done nothing or stood in the way of those willing to act on that foresight.
