Its a scary thought, but here it is: If some red states were to openly defy the authority of President Obama in the exercise of his constitutional duties, would todays Republican Congress side with him? Or would they honor the insurrection?
Last month, the Republican-led Arizona House of Representatives passed, on a 36-to-24 party-line vote, a bill sponsored by tea party Rep. Bob Thorpe (R-Flagstaff) that prohibits this state or any of its political subdivisions from using any personnel or financial resources to enforce, administer or cooperate with an executive order issued by the President of the U.S. that has not been affirmed by a vote of Congress and signed into law as prescribed by the U.S. Constitution. ...

What insurrection? U sing the 10th amendment they are saying the Federal Executive has no authority over a sovereign state by edict, that laws have to be generated by the congress per the constitution.
AMEN!!!!!
But they’ve chosen the losing side.
In GITMO!
NAMBOLA - the love that dares not speak its name.
motto - "We're not as bad as NAMBLA, as far as YOU know!"
Come on now, give Obama a call at
1-800-azz hole unless he is out playing golf!
It's like the milk commercial, but instead of "Got Milk?", it's "Got Obama's @ss?"...
I thought this was the way democracy was suppose to work.
What is the writer’s problem— that we won’t all roll over for a fundamental transformation of America?
The American Revolution was fought, in hand to hand combat, for much less than this. What is happening today at Obama’s behest has overtaken every institution, after decades of our own sleepiness. He is giving us up and turning us over to the most evil forces of the universe.
Abe Lincoln never imagined to do that and would have blown hell out of one caught trying.
From your Photo to eternal reality.
That’s racissss...
Who is entirely certain we can make it to January, 2017?
I presume nothing, but then that’s my religion. God help us.
i was thinking the same thing. his reign is now numbered in months.
Congress needs to start kicking Bammy’s butt up and down PA Ave every day. The 57 States should do likewise.
What does Obama have to do with the Constitution?
Is there still a Constitution? If so, is it just for Obama when he needs it, or do the rest of us get to use it when it suits him? It’s all so confusing.
Love how this is framed. I reject the premise. Essentially, according to this author, everything the resident of the White House is "constitutional", while any who oppose his edicts are insurrectionists. Why the author is scared is that he knows what a lot of Obama is doing is in violation of the Constitution, agrees with it, and that significant pushback may result in something unpleasant for Obama and the rest of his fellow travelers.
The Republicans are spineless hypocrites. They would never support any form of populist insurrection. The author needn’t worry.
It must be difficult for liberals to understand such things as the US Constitution, but Congress makes the laws. The president is not a super legislator no matter how much the left wishes for a dictator (a leftist one of course). If Cruz becomes president, you can be sure the left will change their tune in hurry. ALL—I mean ALL—they care about is winning. If they have to trample everyone else to do so, they’ll do it without hesitation. The right better wake up quick! We’re still trying to play by the left’s rules.
Bottom line: the left only supports executive power at the moment because the chief executive is a leftist.
Hmmmm ..?? What if Obama is using this guy to put out these feelers .. just to see what the reaction is ..??
Is there “A rising insurrection against Obama”??; and if Obama believes there is, is that what the planned “military training” operation this summer is all about ..??
San Diego County will be hit from 7/15-9/15 .. and I’m not having a good feeling about any of it. And now, with this “supposed” question by the WP - I smell a RAT.
