To: Extremely Extreme Extremist

It could be an Italian themed wedding, or bachelor party, rehearsal dinner etc. The reporter who first caught this story looking for ‘bigotry’ just happened to run with the response of a pizzaria, could have been any type of service business really.

I think the unwritten part is that the reporter quite likely called up a lot of caterers and got "proper" responses. Then the reporter called chinese restaurants and got "proper" responses. Then Mexican restaurants. Then pizza places. The reporter may have found 99 pizza places that would gladly do business with anyone.

But, after 1000 phone calls, and many varieties of food outlets, that 1-out-of-100 pizza places declined to cater a homosexual wedding, and it became a national scandal because of the widespread and debilitating prejudice against homosexuals.
