As the Washington Post reported Friday, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas is spending some of that $4 million plus in campaign cash he has raised since his announcement for the presidency and has bought time for his first televised campaign ad. The ad, entitled Blessing, is clearly aimed at faith-based voters, touting Cruzs religious faith and the relationship between religion and the United States. The ad will run Good Friday nationwide on the Fox News Network during an airing of Bill OReillys Killing Jesus and in the early primary states of Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Nevada during an airing of A.D.: After the Bible on Easter Sunday.
The message of the ad is short and to the point:
Were it not for the transformative love of Jesus Christ, I would have been raised by a single mom without my father in the household.
Gods blessing has been on America from the very beginning of this nation.
Over and over again, when we faced impossible odds, the American people rose to the challenge.
This is our fight, and that is why Im running for President of the United States.
Im Ted Cruz, and I approve this message.
The ad buy comes at a time when Cruz, once thought to be a long shot for the Republican nomination, not to mention the presidency, has leaped to the top tier of GOP candidates, next to establishment favorite former Florida Jeb Bush and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker. That fact and Cruzs raking in of campaign cash, mainly from small donors, has caused some in the media to rethink their assessment of the candidate, according to Hot Air.
The way Cruz has accomplished this feat is to stake out some mainstream conservative positions on foreign and domestic policy.

Thanks for responding and I agree with your statement re Kristol and Krauthammer and elections AND I tell you I would love to reach into the TV screen and strangle them when they do that.
Unfortunately though, we must take note that all day long every day Fox puts on REAL conservative “contributors” while the alphabets almost never do. Fox has a Hannity who’s entire show is almost 100% conservative. The alphabets don’t have anything similar. Fox’s Prime Time each night is occupied by Oreilly and Kelly and Shawn. BO, tries to plow his rows on both sides of the street but his CORE is conservative. Megan Kelly, but for her love of all things gay is pretty darn conservative most of the time and has the most viewers to back that up. I’m particularly proud of her for her unabashed support of vets and active duty personnel.
So, ask me if if Fox is 100% conservative and I would say No. Ask me if I would be happier with Fox out of business I would say No too.
Ted Cruz for President.....”It’s between Washington and the rest of us”....Ted Cruz Commercial

Have you noticed the GOP-e has suddenly learned Reagan’s 11th Commandment and have not uttered a peep about Cruz, negative or positive? I like to think they’re too worried about being primaried by Cruz’ allies to comment.
I still want that on a t-shirt.
the Christian right is duly noted
I find it interesting, and perhaps prophetic, that the Spanish word for Cross, is Cruz...
