Schools get around the “race” thing by focusing on “culture and life experience”. So if charged with bias, they just explain that it had nothing to do with race. This particular student had a diverse culture and life experience and a primary criteria in the admissions process is diversity.

Once upon a time there was a prestige that attached itself to those with an Ivy League education.
Affirmative Action alone has discredited that notion and taken much of the luster from the Ivy League brand.
As many of these graduates have gone into federal government wherein they have made spectacles of their ignorance, incompetence, and stupidity in the national spotlight they desperately crave, it is a wonder that there are still parents willing to pay the confiscatory tuition these institutions demand to produce such colossal ignoramuses.
