Singer claims that personhood should replace humanhood as the measure of highest value. In this view, individuals who are not self-aware are not persons, and thus have lower valueto the point that so-called human non persons can be killed. Every genocidal act in history has been justified by declaring the victims to be "non-persons".

Maybe someone will declare Singer a “non-person” and do something to make the world a better place.

Heres the hard truth: The problem isnt Singer. The real source of the moral collapse comes because too many of us are unwilling or unable to defend the intrinsic dignity and importance of human life. Here's the harder truth: There are really evil people who are amongst us.

Easy answer. They REALLY, REALLY believe their drivel about environmentalism and overpopulation. Hence their love for abortion and infanticide. Hence their love for homosexuality. Homosexuality, for them, is actually a twofer. Not only can they not reproduce, but their lives are abbreviated by all the diseases they contract. Cynical indeed.
