And I have to say that sometimes when I listen to less-than-loving expressions by Christians, I get concerned.

It depends on what his interpretation of the expressions by Christians is, and what his own personal judgment about the expressions is. But, in well over a hundred Biblical passages about the poor,not one mentions the government.
