He was pretty good and I am a Zeppelin, Who, Boston fan from the 70s.
To say that my wife is shocked and saddened is an understatement. She was a big fan and grew up listening to him since the early 70s.
Interesting that he got his start playing piano in a gay bar or “bathouse” with Bette Midler. Pretty clear from the beginning that he was gay.
Plus you never saw him with a woman in all of these years.
But still I respected him wanting to keep his private life private, but it’s getting harder to do these days.
Duh! I guess the excuse that “he needed the work” is plausible. But not very believable.

As a kid in high school about 40 years ago we all listened to his songs. Wow what a more innocent time and now well old Barry has told us more than I ever wanted to know.

At the first concert, I remember one of the ladies in the front section yelling “anywhere anytime Barry.” Lol.
To give my wife a rough time, I remind her of this. She is a proper lady and doesn't and didn't think that it was appropriate.
They seem to think that they can marry, and have babies just like "normal" people, but they forget that the act of marriage includes the covenant set up with God Almighty.
Every marriage actually has three members, the man, the woman and their spiritual partner, God Almighty.
To enter into a "marriage" with a ceremony and a condoned blessing from a minister is the height of hubris.
Does anyone think that God Almighty actually recognizes gay marriage as a good thing?
No, gay marriage can do only one thing and that is to bring self-imposed curses upon the couple's heads.
