Sports Illustrated wanted to do something special for next month’s swimsuit issue, so it decided to blast Kate Upton to 34,000 feet above the surface of the earth for a Zero-G photo shoot.

Teaming up with Zero-G Corp. down in Florida, the magazine sent Ms. Upton up 17 times in a converted Boeing-727 known as G-Force One, Discovery News reported.

“The ZERO-G experience was really exhilarating for everyone involved,” said M.J. Day, editor of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, in a statement. “We have been almost everywhere in the past 50 years with SI Swimsuit, but we have never done anything like this. It was certainly the most out-of-the-box shoot. Once again, Kate surprised us all with how she handled modeling in weightlessness.”
