Damn all to do with the NHS, sometimes even the best hospitals and doctors/surgeons cant save a life. BTW, those horrible Limey hospitals and staff save thousands of young UK lives a week.

When we live outside of the will of God (the Word of God) we suffer the consequences.

What are you saying here?

100% agree. But from where comes the faith and grace to live within God's will? Is that some effort we "gin up" by ourselves? No - that faith is a gift so that none should boast.

I'm sure it goes without saying that suffering is not merely the lot of the damned. In this world it is expected that believers will suffer greatly. Just ask those living in Arab countries.

I would counsel too: don't be like the like the older brother in the parable of the prodigal who could only grump and complain when his brother finally turned from sin and returned to his Father.

So too, the couple in this story did the right thing and got married - rejoice! Don't be a grump...

Art Linkletter's book Kids Say the Darndest Things is mainly based on things said by kids on his "House Party" show, and was published in the late 1950s.

Once a kid asked what his favorite wish was volunteered that he would like to see his mommy and daddy get married. Linkletter's comment was that on hearing their kid say that, two respectably married parents made plans to dash to the nearest border.

That was in the 1950s when the chances were that a kid saying that was just confused--that his parents were properly married.

Agree, the dedication and determination of doctors, nurses, aides, & staff are without question. Can’t succeed in such a people-oriented business without those qualities. It’s damnable socialized medicine that restricts choice, quality, and access that is to blame. And it’s ignorant, arrogant politicians on both sides of the pond who are giving it to us.
