The liberals are circling the wagons now that U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, of Texas, has made it official that he is seeking the Republican nomination for president.
And, to draw attention away from their dismal record, they resort to their typical means of character assassination. Why? To take the focus off their lack of achievements.
Here are some examples: quadrupling the national debt when they promised to bring it down; one word — Benghazi; trading several known terrorists out of jail for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl (plus six Americans died looking for him after he voluntarily walked away from his post); dealing with an enemy with a history of not living up to its word about nuclear weapons but that enthusiastically supports vocal interests of its citizens to the chant of “Death to America” and has never disavowed its intention to wipe Israel off the face of the Earth; the Internal Revenue Service targeting independent businesses it doesn’t like; not wanting to upset a people who are beheading Christians; and the hypocrisy of Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., who says Republicans are racists because they are holding up the confirmation of the president’s nominee for attorney general, when this same man did not vote to confirm Condoleezza Rice or Colin Powell.
Of course they circle the wagons. They are much like the chocolate Easter bunny — bite into it and it’s hollow on the inside. Penetrate the wagon circle, and there is nothing there.
