Wish Rubio was not giving up his Senate seat.

Allahpundit at Hotair has the perfect description of Rubio: “He really is unique. Who else in the field combines John McCain’s questionable foreign policy and immigration instincts with Barack Obama’s youthful lack of experience?”

Well put. Add to that his dry mouth disease and he's through before he starts.

This could trigger a situation where the President came from one party but the Vice President came from the other party because the electors couldn’t vote for both of them. I doubt either the GOPe or the Democrats would risk that.

Especially with Florida, a "swing state" with many electoral votes.

On the other hand, from an actual policy as opposed to partisan standpoint, would anybody really notice if a Democratic VP were switched with an establishment GOP VP, or vice-versa?

****

True. Two factions of the Uniparty fighting it out over which ones fleece the taxpayer in “public service” versus those temporarily in the private sector as lobbyists for the fleecing.

I don't know much about Rubio, but I love the character based on him in the Amazon political series.

Andy Guzman, I think is his name. Yeah. I'd vote for that guy.

Although I think Senator "Dan Conner" from North Carolina is also running.

He will be LOVED by Krauthammer because he’s an establishment guy and that’s what he likes.

He’s just another rino.

He will talk and talk and talk and say NOTHING!!

Actions matter..........words don’t.

No, that wouldn't happen. What could happen is no one has a majority for VP, in that case the Senate picks between the top 2.

I have to agree. Rubio is not my #1, but if he gets it, I could support him more strongly that either Bush or Paul.

And, as was mentioned, its simple enough to register and establish residence in another state. Jeb was born in Midland, Texas and Marco Rubio in Miami.
That’s what Dick Cheney did in “moving” back to Wyoming.

Well the good news is that Sharpton lives in New York, so he can’t be Hillary’s VP.

Hillary’s veep will be the San Antonio cherub Julian Castro. That way libs can vote for two minorities at once, women and Latinos. Just think of that miniature guy on the wedding cake and you have Castro to a tee.

He can tell it to the ILLEGAL aliens he loves more than American CITIZENS, let them vote for him with their stolen identities.

Rubio will not get my vote, but how is a 14th Amendment child considered “natural born”?

“That’s what Dick Cheney did in “moving” back to Wyoming.”

*****

Cheney had a stronger argument. He had been a Wyoming Congressman...and owned a home in Wyoming (in addition to the one in Texas and one in Virginia).

Doable for Jeb and Rubio to pull the same stunt but the facts are less favorable.

Rubio cannot be Jeb’s running mate because they are both from the same state.

Yes, he can. But Florida's electoral vote can't go to the pair.
