The D.C. Chapter of FreeRepublic.com invites all FReepers and lurkers in good standing to join us for our annual protest of media bias to be held outside the White House Correspondents Association dinner in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, April 25.
The D.C. Chapter has freeped this dinner every year following the first freep organized by Free Republic in 1999.
This protest is always the most fun one of the year as it puts us in direct contact with reporters, columnists, editors, politicians, activists, government officials, Hollywood-types and curious tourists.
Our protest location has been moved this year for the first time since 1999.
D.C. police issued us a permit for the sidewalk directly in front of the Hilton, so we will not have the benefits of the retaining wall and alcove we've used at the previous location on the other corner.
Please bring signs with large, thick letters and brief easily understood messages as our visibility to passersby will likely be impeded by our new location. Please be sure to put FreeRepublic.com at the bottom of your sign so onlookers will know where to go to learn more about our message.
When: 4:00 p.m. until about 8:00 p.m., Saturday, April 25, 2015.
Where: The sidewalk in front of the Washington Hilton, 1919 Connecticut Avenue, NW, Washington, D.C.
Nearest Metro stations: Both on Red Line: Dupont Circle (North exit) and Woodley Park/Zoo.
Parking. Limited street parking is available. Garage parking at the Hilton and a garage on Florida Avenue just east of Connecticut Avenue.

As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly they are: No violence, no racism, no profanity, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.
