Here is a video of Rey Ruiz singing "Así Se Compone Un Son" or "This Is How To Write A 'Son'", which started the lively, Cuban rhythms in the New World. In the English-speaking world this song would be called a 'cover' song. In the Salsa world it is called a 'tribute' song as a tribute to the original artist. It was originally cut by, and became the 'signature song' of Ismael Miranda in 1973.

Señor Ruiz seems to enjoy the song as much as the audience. You'll see what I mean! ;-)
