I’m unconvinced that today’s Republican leadership (wink wink), would stand up to him on a strictly racial matter.

Your logic isn’t flawed, I just don’t think the Republicans would deny Blacks this. They’d be wetting themselves.

The GOP leadership might be eager to submit, but the Congressional Black Caucus and the Civil Rights establishment will demand such an astronomical amount that the idea will fail because there would be no way to come up with the money demanded.

40 million or so African Americans in the country now. If each one was to be paid $25,000 a year, that would add $1 trillion a year to the government's expenditures, but I'm sure Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and the others would dismiss $25,000 as grossly inadequate.
