The media dogs Republican candidates with these kinds of ‘gotcha’ questions because they know it puts potential candidates in a bind with the conservative base or their big money backers.

Notice how they seldom dog Hillary or Dems with the same questions.

The problem with the Republicans is that they keep falling for the same ole ‘gotchas’ in every election cycle. Occasionally, they get a new one and they revert to stammering babble. Recall Romney in the 2012 presidential debate after Steffi asked him whether he would support states banning contraceptives.
