I don’t have time to address each of your posts right now.

Cronos, Caww, you both have made good contribution to the discussion.

Cronos, I appreciate your perspective on the Middle East, and I’m not locked in disagreement on most of your thoughts.

This all began (at least I believe it was), when we were discussing top government officials including the King having inside knowledge of the funding and plans to carry out 09/11.

I still don’t believe he knew he was funding this operation or had knowledge or input on this specific incident.

I’m willing to listen to what you have to say and agree where I can. On this one issue, I can’t.

With upwards of 20,000 Saudis in our nation on 09/11, it seem preposterous to me that the top government of Saudi Arabia would approve of a plan that would only anger, rather than bring the nation totally to it’s knees.

There’s just no upside to 09/11 for them, and it would open them up to massive blow-back.

Thanks for all your input on these matters. I have read a lot to consider from you. Thanks.

It is an interesting thread.....but it does take time, and interest to read the details. I found Cronos information about the Sauds quite interesting historically and how he sees the relationships with other tribes etc.... but as with others do not think the Saudi top leadership was involved with 9/11.

In my humble opinion, DO, a good analogy is what happened in Spain from the 9th century to the 13th — the Ummayads got soft (they still persecuted Christians and Jews, but were lazy about it) and were replaced by the fanatical Almoravids. Then, 4 generations later, the Almoravids were also lax in killing Jews and Christians and were replaced by the Almohads. These last were the most virulent and they initially won many battles against the Spainish reconquista before becoming so vile that they lost in the 1300s to Castile and Leon
