Problems may exist... but talking about them makes you a terrorist.

How did they see it so fast? Do they have a “tweet alert” implanted in their cranium?

I wonder just how airline personnel saw the tweet.

Looking over his shoulder physically at what he was typing, or does the wifi gear in the plane monitor the network traffic going through it ?

The story did not say.

It is all soooo stupid. While the passenger plane has been shown to be interesting to towelheads, it is hardly the place to conduct real terrorism after 9/11. We are hardened to the loss of aircraft. More terror can and will be delivered for a much lower cost elsewhere thanks to the presence of hundreds if not thousands of low tech enemies that the government has welcomed into our country.

The arrogance of nerds.

Perhaps he could have communicated this another way.

I am not a fan of the DHS, but sometimes slapping an idiot in the head isn’t horrible.

So United monitors the Tweeter feeds of its customers?

Or else, is it Uncle Sam doing it, who then calls the airline, and makes them act?

What he did is similar to crying “fire” in a theater. Not only that, he is flat out wrong. He preys on people’s fear that all technology can be turned against us, and that airlines, and aircraft manufacturers are unaware of any threat.

All of this has been so many times disproven - which is why he tried to make a name for himself. No one that knows anything will listen to him, so he decided to make a public scene knowing the public is more than gullible.

Airline personnel saw the tweet and alerted authorities at Syracuse Hancock International Airport...

SHIA, eh? He should be glad he wasn't going to Southern Upper New Netherlands International or they would've blindfolded him and thrown him off the roof of the terminal.

Is a Wifi vulnerability a threat to flight safety? I can’t see how it would be.

Hope he sues the crap out of them and wins. And the FBI.

Unless it is an actual threat or slander under no circumstances should anyone be delayed or kicked off a flight because of what they post. Nor should the government ever be able to confiscate, or even look at the property of a private citizen without a warrant.
