That he hasn’t already, and people haven’t been hung already, show he’s a coward and unfit for leadership.

How about that.

5 Years of living hell, ‘cause Chisholm’s wife is an activist teacher.

Because it would be bad for his career. That’s more important than protecting his supporters from true Nazis.

These 3 candidates:
Cruz
Walker
Rubio

I don’t respond to candidate-bashing of these 3... other than to say I don’t respond to candidate-bashing of these 3.

I’m amazed and in awe whenever I can chat or meet with somebody that can actually string together a presentable story in short or long story format. So Kudos to you. I would never hold that at fault.

So I see your dilemma then. You either slip a reference into a post that’s somewhat applicable with nary a word on it’s veracity, or you include the origination and nature of the work you get accused of being an ad troll on FR.

The dems need to be given a taste of their own medicine. I think putting Lois Lerner in prison would be a good start.

They play like this and the Rs play nice.

Nice guys finish last.

And why the heck are we just hearing about this now?

It is very common knowledge amongst conservatives in Wisconsin. This is why folks claim Walker is clean and the most vetted of the candidates. Years of this - if there was something dirty on him, it would have been used.

This is one the of the things that pains me. Walker is a good man (with, admittedly, a little naivety in some nation areas), but there are some on this site that behave like religious fanatics with their claims of his misdeeds. I am not 100% for Walker (still looking at others, mostly Cruz), but it is shameful what some are doing here.

Ted Cruz and his supporters have also been subject to all sorts of ugly criticism.

I think there is a difference between home invasions, where you cannot, by law, even call your lawyer about it, and "ugly criticism."

Rubio? Holy crap! You drank the whole jug of cool-aid! And you support a governor who sits idly by while his allies get their doors kicked in? I just don’t know what to say.

Regarding your friend who got swatted, unless it happened 20+ years ago there’s no such thing as “anonymous”

And filing a false police report, one that results in a home invasion by police, isn’t something that the cops take lightly. Big reason is that any home invasion puts cops lives at risk. Secondary considerations are that it costs money to do so, and has the potential for costing even more money if the cops are wrong.

Note that the above reasons are practical in nature, not theoretical. Concern for rights and liberties of the accused is pretty far down the list.

I just watched a video of Scott’s debate in WI against the Mayor of Milwaukee. He reminded me of a sleeze bag in a tuxedo. The Major, not Scott. So no thankyou I’ve had my serving of vomit today.

Yes, it is. These people probably never imagined anything like this happening to them in their wildest dreams. They were normal, law-abiding citizens, people who go to work, pay their taxes, and abide by the law. Not people who live their lives on the criminal fringes, in any way. People just like you and me.

“It’s best if it comes out in due course. No need for the candidate to highlight it at the outset.”

Yes, that’s what they always say. Yet to date not one person
has been held accountable. No one. Oh there will be a few
that get a slap on the wrist but the fact that the Obama is
still in office after being caught red handed using the IRS
to suppress the political voice of his and his fellow DNC/GOPe
opponents pretty much says it all. Due course is a dead course.

One of the things that doesn’t get mentioned, and should, is that significant sanction (including jail time) for corrupt public officials who abuse their positions doesn’t just act as a deterrent for other public officials who might start thinking of the same, it also acts as a safety valve to assure the public that the system actually does work and wrongdoers will be held accountable.

When that safety valve is taken away, when people begin to believe that their public officials can and will act with impunity, in violation of the rule of law, and will get away with it, society starts to change. And not in a good way.
