A lot of freepers don’t understand that fiction mirrors reality. In other words, these freepers are idiots.
Well, 1984 was supposed to be fiction too. Who’s to say what’s non fiction and fiction anymore.
I’m amazed and in awe whenever I can chat or meet with somebody that can actually string together a presentable story in short or long story format. So Kudos to you. I would never hold that at fault.
So I see your dilemma then. You either slip a reference into a post that’s somewhat applicable with nary a word on it’s veracity, or you include the origination and nature of the work you get accused of being an ad troll on FR.

In a month, nobody will remember if they were arrested before the shooting started, or after.”
Exactly what I think is in the works. Except I think the left underestimates the opposition so the outcome is in question.
Mist really good historical/political fiction has a strong basis in reality. It just hasn’t happened yet.
