We date ourselves by dismissing this rather common view held by younger voters, and obviously by Rubio.
Personally, simple observation would tell a lot of us that such a same sex preference may very well be some kind of a genetic predisposition, apparently featured even from a very young age. Most all of us have seen effeminate boys and masculine girls who exhibit these characteristics to a shocking degree, and for no known reason. It is very sad, and complicated, and, but by the grace of God, there go you and I.
I don’t discount genetics, or a predisposition, but it is the *acting* upon it that is unhealthy and abominable, just as alcoholism, where the alcoholic taking alcohol is unhealthy and abominable. So what Rubio said, as far as it goes, is unremarkable.
But the gay marriage thing is another matter. Civil unions would have worked for reasons of insurance, medical rights, but they didn’t want that. They wanted a the Sacrament of Marriage. They are after Christians, particularly the Catholic sacrament. It’s too disgusting for words.

Acting upon it is true litmus test so to speak. There could also be people out there wired to like BOTH sides and they are the ones that can be “recruited” over to the dark side without knowing that they are capable of liking the right side.
