Evangelicals — of whom I am one — continue to amaze by wanting the state to stay out of church matters, yet wanting the church involved in state matters.
We are called to live redemptive lives IN this world, yet not OF this world. What we need in a leader is someone who agrees that we should be able to do this freely, unencumbered by state control.
We are called to change hearts, and rarely is this accomplished through legislation.
There’s no way I will agree with any candidate on every issue, nor will I try to destroy a good person whom I believe to be wrong but well-meaning.
Note I said “a good person.” That does eliminate a few.
