I still see soldiers in uniform going into stores here while going home from base. They should be able to be armed like civilians can be with the threats they face.
Civilians with ccw permits should be allowed to conceal carry on base too. I have friends who, because they can’t legally keep a gun secured in their car, are unsrmrd when driving to and from work too.
I knew a squad leader in my old company who carried a loaded .45 at the small of his back. I saw it a couple of times, but I wasn’t going to say anything.
