This makes me almost admire leftists. They are willing to destroy their enemies while the GOP are too squish to launch such an attack toward leftists!
The John Doe investigation is a bit "unique." Learn more about it before you cast aspersions on people who had to live through this.
This is what I am afraid of.
The left is at the early stages of openly calling for the killing of those who disagree with its agenda. From heresy “crimes against humanity” for those who disagree with man made global warming, to no knock “John/Jane Doe” warrants. They believe they have all the power, and are getting set to purge.
On the other side, you have a large group of people being marginalized. Now this isn’t all conservatives. There are a lot of people nominally on their side getting shoved out (blue dog Democrats, old school Unions, etc).
The hate coming down from the elites isn’t working quite the way it was supposed to. Those targeted are no longer worried about, and a few are starting to think “If I am going to be destroyed, I might as well give them a reason for it”.
No purge, even in the old USSR, was without a counter reaction. At times it goes to the extreme. They are counting on being able to manage it like the post Stalin USSR did, they just might end up with Revolutionary France waiting for a Napoleon.
The powder is piled up, the drums are soaked with gas, and we have all sorts of madmen standing around who like to play with matches. They all think they can control the event, but that is never the case.
