I never called you names.
You gave me your word that Walker changed his policy.
You brow beat me and lead others to do it as well.
You were wrong. You have nothing to say?
Dear DoughtyOne,
You dear delicate flower; please tell me how I brow beat you.

Look at you. You said that Walker has changed his immigration policy. I confront you with his own statement, and your response is to try to insult me.
Well, you’re out there on the public record. So be it.
Go find attention somewhere else.
Walker himself said he believed he could find a way to do that, if illegals paid a fine and wanted to stay. LINK: see 10:20 on the video.
I linked you to the audio. You heard it yourself. And now here you are trying to make it look like his beliefs have changed. They have not. He says they have, but he also said just the oposite. "THEY CAN STAY IF THEY PAY A FINE." That is not them going back to their nation of origin and getting in the back of the line. This is a complete fabrication.
When pushed on the topic, he had to admit they could stay.
You spent a lot of time last night hawking this untruth. You're doing it again today.
Walker is just one more person who wants us to think he has seen the light on immigration. Then you find out he's got a dirty little secret.
Illegals can stay. That's his bottom line, and no amount of subterfuge is going to change that truth.
I’m not the one here trying to pass off a complete fabrication to forum participants.
If you can’t be honest with them, you shouldn’t be urging others to go somewhere else.
June 27, 2011: Walker Revokes In-state Tuition For Undocumented Students Attending Univ And Colleges In Wisconsin "- On Sunday, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker (R) signed his two-year 2011-2013 budget, which included ending in-state tuition for undocumented students attending public universities and colleges. In-state tuition for undocumented students was approved two years ago by former Governor Jim Doyle (D) after the Hispanic community struggled for 10 years to pass it."...
March 1, 2015: Fox News: Chris Wallace interviews Scott Walker:
".....WALKER: And my view has changed. I'm flat out saying it. I'm -- candidates can say that. Sometimes they don't. I'm saying my --
WALLACE: So, you've changed from 2013?
WALKER: Absolutely. I look at the problems we've experienced for the last few years. I've talked to governors on the border and others out there. I've talked to people all across America.
And the concerns I have is that we need to secure the border. We ultimately need to put in place a system that works. A legal immigration system that works.
And part of doing this is put the onus on employers, getting them E-Verify and tools to do that. But I don't think you do it through amnesty.".....
March 2015: We strongly dispute this account. Governor Walker has been very clear that he does not support amnesty and believes that border security must be established and the rule of law must be followed. His position has not changed, he does not support citizenship for illegal immigrants, and this story line is false, she announced in an email to journalists Thursday afternoon.
I made it clear that for me, if somebody wants to be a citizen, they need to go back to their country of origin, get in line, no preferential treatment, Walker said. In terms of what to do beyond that, again, thats something we got to work with Congress on.
[CLICK and read Walker's comments to Beck]: April 20, 2015: Scott Walker Lays Out Pro American Worker Stance on Immigration "During an interview with Glenn Beck, Walker became the first declared or potential 2016 GOP presidential candidate to stake out a position on immigration fully in line with that of Senate Judiciary Committee subcommittee on Immigration and the National Interest chairman Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL). He also noted that he has been working with Chairman Sessions on the issue to learn more about it.
Walker is now the only potential or declared GOP presidential candidate to discuss the negative effects of a massive increase in legal immigration on American workers:..........................."
Bingo. Perry did everything in his power to get his Lt Gov butt buddy Dewhurst elected to senator over Cruz. Imagine Dewhurst in the senate now, had Perry gotten his way.
That's a pretty low bar you're describing. Doesn't say much about Perry that he 'sucks less' than Obama and Romney.
We've got to do a whole lot better if we're to turn this country and the Republican party around. I think Ted Cruz as President is a very good start.
We would have heard little from Dewhurst at this point. He would have seamlessly fit in to the crony capitalist network of elitist sell-outs.
Whether it’s a low bar or not, the point is important in that we ended up with poorer choices than Perry. If you’re stranded in a political desert and the choices are drinking poison (certain death), drinking sewage (gonna make you deathly ill but not kill you), or drinking muddy water (nasty), it’s common sense to take the one that will do least harm. Perrier wasn’t on the menu. Perry was.
Fallacious argument. Newt was a far better choice than Perry, who merely sucked a bit less than Romney and Obama.
Newt may not have been the ultimate embodiment of what most of us conceive our ideal President to be, but he towered over his closest rivals in the race. The vast majority of conservatives would NOT have had to hold their noses to vote for him in the general, and he just may have toppled Hussein, had he been the nominee.
I refuse to excuse the less-than-worthy power seekers in our party, who've done nothing but talk and swagger, while being Democrats In All But Label Only, otherwise.
Ideally, the President would have previous executive experience. But that is one moderate level concern among many. Walker is the only Governor/Former Governor in the bunch that isn’t a crapheel.
I’ll take that and build on it.
Still, he has done good stuff for his State, while fighting the liberal unions. Impressive.
