Is it legal to smoke cigs or vape in parks in Denver or Colorado. I know some areas have banned smoking. Amazing cig smokers are made to feel like pariahs yet the message smoke all the weed you want. Doesn't 2nd hand smoke also apply to weed?

People shouldn't have laws that protect them from themselves.

Let freedom ring!

It’s still illegal to smoke MJ in public, even in Denver. BUT - the pot smokers have figured out a rule us so-called freedom fighters have failed to utilize: the concept that you can’t arrest everyone.

Careful now, you'll quickly learn that "conservatives", even right here on FR, are all for big guv, as long as it's THEIR big guv

They’re trying to ban cigs on the Oregon coast. Right I can burn a tire but can’t smoke on the beaches

To paraphrase Milton Friedman, its obvious you can have both a welfare state and legalized drugs.

Frankly I would be embarrassed to be a pot smoker after the fixated displays of stupidity I saw yesterday.

I especially like the barely coherent morons mumbling about how creative it makes them. I used to think it made me creative too but in reality a 20 minute 3 note bass solo is anything but creative.

Question is, can someone get high from 2nd hand weed smoke.

Even before legalization they did this on 420 and the police mostly looked the other way.

As long as I don’t have to pay for their Welfare, Food Stamps, Obamacare or housing, I don’t care if they smoke pot like a chimney.

Not only doesn’t second-hand smoke get one high, it’s barely detectable by drug tests:

“researchers paired several regular pot smokers and nonsmokers and put them in a sealed compartment together for an hour, while one smoked a joint containing a relatively strong strain of marijuana.

“The 12 nonsmoking participants were then tasked with peeing into a cup 13 times over the next 34 hours. Their urine was tested for 9-carboxy-THC, the marijuana metabolite commonly measured in standard drug tests.

“The results, published this month in the Journal of Analytical Toxicology, gives nonsmokers with weed-using friends reason to breathe easy. The scientists found urine levels of this metabolite surpassed typically detectable levels (50 nanogram per milliliter) in only one experiment participant, and this happened during a brief window four to six hours after exposure.”

Well guess what? You will get stuck with paying for them.

And that, in a nutshell, is the problem with the Welfare State. I wouldn’t care what most people do if they weren’t sticking their hand in my pocket to help pay for the consequences of their bad decisions. But if I’m going to have to pay for their decision to be lazy and sit around smoking pot all day, I do care. My preference would be to cut off Welfare and let them smoke themselves into oblivion if they want to.

Yeah, but I bet you had a good time playing that solo... at least, what you can remember of it.

Amen. The problem is that when they've toked themselves into unemployable uselessness, their addiction or habituation will be declared a disease and they'll get a free ride on our tax dollars. I, for one, don't want to have my money going to feed, house, clothe and "medicate" them!

In public parks you are affecting other people.

How about this. The next state that legalizes should simultaneously pass a law requiring drug testing for welfare recipients.

I wrote some really really good songs, I mean really really good songs, when I was also being similarly creative.

I just forgot to write them down. Yeah, that’s the ticket.

But they were really, REALLY, good songs; songs I never would have been able to write otherwise. Too bad I can’t remember them.
