He should have touched him again in the most delicate, “touch” with one finger. Then stand there. Dare the bastard to swing.
A congressfool has more to lose.

He should have said”lie to me again and you’ll be in no condition to drop anything. I’m your boss biatch! “

Before you all drag out the lynching rope here, keep in mind Steve Knight is one of the most rock-solid conservative members of Congress. I know him and I knew and worked for his father, the late
William J. "Pete" Knight. If you aren't happy with Steve, you won't be happy with ANYONE.

It’s stupid to make threats that you can’t back up.A congressman hitting a constituent won’t play well on the evening news.

We are moving into an odd open phase. They openly use the IRS to go after political opponents. They conduct police raids on purely political opponents. This congressfool threatened a constituent with physical violence for a handshake.
These things were not the norm 2 and 3 decades ago. Now they are nearly an everyday occurrence. The trend line is very deadly if you follow where it leads.
Its obvious they see the people as an enemy, not as a master who must be respected.

The Republicans had better identify a primary challenger for Knight, or "encourage" him to resign.
Knight is likely toast.

Steve Knight is one of the most rock-solid conservative members of CongressThat may be, but it still doesn't entitle him to any elite status as a critter. He should have kept his mouth shut.

It doesn't matter whether I agree with his policies or not.
Knight is former LAPD. He seems to have forgotten that he can't threaten people just for confronting him.
There's no way I'd ever vote for him. As I posted above, he is likely toast, and the Republicans had better find a replacement for him -- or the voters will.

Doesn’t matter. His votes don’t matter. He is an arrogant turd that has no respect. You never threaten a voter with violence. And the protesters were very sure he lied to them, and used procedural chicanery to cover it up.
But he has the attitude of an aristocratic superior, not of a representative who respects his people. Screw him, there’s better ones waiting in line.

Good feedback.
This sounds more like a RAT got-ya video.
There as so few Conservatives Congressmen from CA that it is likely he has been targeted.
Still no excuse for the threats.

Exactly! It would have been funny if the protestor had said if that is a threat percy, I’m right here, say when. Self-assumed royalty doesn’t like to be touched by their slaves in either party.

That may be, but it still doesn't entitle him to any elite status as a critter. He should have kept his mouth shut. Watch the video again. The dude gave him the in-your-face hand squeeze and excessively grasped his arm. Steve is a normal man, a retired LAPD cop, and a military vet. He's not going to take chicken shit threats like that from some guy, nor would I.

After taking the time to view the all of the video, I’m not jumping on any bandwagon to condemn Rep, Knight.

Unfortunately we have many here at FR who are that way. I believe that many are trolls, sent here by their overlords to create friction here and other basically conservative web sites.

The guy was aggressive and called him a liar. The Congressman then explained in detail that he did not vote for amnesty as he was accused of doing. The Congressman should not have said what he did to the guy, but he is human and by all accounts he is a good Congressman, a rarity especially in California.
