I "own" a premium smart TV, and two of the three most-used apps disappeared off of it within the last year - one without warning. The content providers and the TV manufacturer couldn't some to terms on licensing, I guess. Boy was I surprised to learn that I didn't have a say in retaining what I paid extra for!Just find an old mini desktop computer with HDMI to hang off it... a wireless kb/glidepad... maybe wireless networking...
You'll never go back. I haven't accessed the smart apps since.
