5 The boastful shall not stand before your eyes; you hate all evildoers. 6 You destroy those who speak lies; the Lord abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man (Psalms 5:5-6).
5 The Lord tests the righteous, but his soul hates the wicked and the one who loves violence (Psalms 11:5).
16 There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: 17 haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, 18 a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, 19 a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers (Proverbs 6:16-19).
36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him (John 3:36).
That’s for what happens to sinners who totally reject Christ and their final destiny.
Christ came not for the righteous, but came for sinners to repent.
He came for that which was lost.
God’s hand of mercy and grace is still extended to the lost sinner, but that window of oppertunity is fast approaching to where it will close.
Jesus said that God sent not his son into the world to condemn it, but to save it through his son.
Then Cruz's presence at the function is keeping within God's rules, because it involved none of the above.

Bob, some Christians -- I'm one -- take from the Bible such valuable codes of behavior such as the Proverbs you posted above (so beautiful ... THANK YOU for posting them) ...
... and also the two most important things as per Jesus' instruction: Love God with all your heart,soul, and mind, the first and greatest commandment, the second being to Love your neighbor as yourself -- all the law and prophecies hang on those two commandments.
Everything else is just detail.
