What the hell was she thinking?
That the Hillary! candidacy is doomed is now a foregone conclusion. Madame Defarge has no aptitude for the job, only a taste for it, and a venomous certainty that it is somehow rightfully hers. But when youve lost Jon Chait:
The qualities of an effective presidency do not seem to transfer onto a post-presidency. Jimmy Carter was an ineffective president who became an exemplary post-president. Bill Clinton appears to be the reverse. All sorts of unproven worst-case-scenario questions float around the web of connections between Bills private work, Hillary Clintons public role as secretary of State, the Clintons quasi-public charity, and Hillarys noncompliant email system. But the best-case scenario is bad enough: The Clintons have been disorganized and greedy.
The news today about the Clintons all fleshes out, in one way or another, their lack of interest in policing serious conflict-of-interest problems that arise in their overlapping roles:

I didn’t understand that post, either.
.... In the mean time ..... the real intended candidates, such as Martin OMalley et-al, will walk through the media gauntlet relatively unscathed and un-noticed by conservative media and gain popularity amongst Democrat voters as viable alternatives to the usual tired old legacy candidates at the most strategically beneficial and opportune time.
Wut? Put down the crack pipe, Michael.
I give Jimmuh some credit for hammering a few nails for Homes for Humanity, but that is far outdistanced by his crimes against humanity, including the anti-semitism you mentioned and his cozying up to every third-world dictator.
Okay.No arguing with you on Carter not being an ineffective president(to put it mildly). How would you define him as an exemplary post-president? Oh, by the way, no offense intended.
I didn’t make that statement. It’s a quote from the article you posted.
When? Where?
The second sentence in the second paragraph. Unless the lone opening sentence counts as a paragraph then it would be the second sentence in the third paragraph.
Putting text in italics has long been used here on FR to indicate that it’s a quote FWIW.
You never saw that quote by made by me because I never said it . You just merely read comment #8 attributing that comment to me. But if you read comment #1 you won’t see any mention of “Carter” in statement #1 no matter what was said in statement #8.
Go ahead. Please read my comment #1. There is no mention of Carter period.
You merely read post #8 without validating what was being referring to in post #1.
Why did you mention any comment I made about about Carter in post #1 when none was made?
I didn’t say I was quoting you. I was quoting from the article. I cut and pasted it from the OA at the top of the page.
Don’t you read the articles you post?
The comment about Carter is not in post #1. It was part of the author’s comments. Comment #1 is the beginning of a new thought, comment. The author’s article must be included in the post. I do admit I should have snipped out the comment about Carter but nevertheless never made any such statement. There is nothing about Carter is Post #1. Sorry.

I did. But I posted the article in the abstract as it was published. That doesn’t mean I agree with it. Generally speaking, the policy at FR is to make as little alteration to the article being posted as possible.
And I commented on the article as it was published.
That doesnt mean I agree with it.
I made no comment on what you though of it. I didn't read your comment so I couldn't have.

No, FR policy is to make no alterations at all to title or content. Don't believe me? Ask a mod.
Congratulations on emerging victorious.
You have effectivelydefeated me in my attempt to follow along with you in your little game. You have me where I have nothing to respond with in your questioning regarding my post. Good work.
