Should not Cruz’s views on immigration be guided by what is best for perpetuating the American identity, rather than some sentimental memory of his Cuban heritage? Walker is right; all immigration should be guided by the nation’s ability to assimilate - the way it has been handled historically.

Agreed. I want a chief executive who’s primary concern is for the citizens of the country, not for the tens of millions trying to get into the country, by hook or by crook.
