People do not realize that Bison don't quit. I have seen them get on dogs and they won't get off until they have disemboweled them. I saw it nearly happen to a person once.

We run bison in Wyoming and would NEVER imagine having them around people because they’ll run you down and kill you just for looking at them! Shooting them was the right thing to do if they were loose in a town. No doubt about it!

Been charged by more than a few buffalo (or more likely, a beefalo, since there's so few pure blood bison left...) Shooting the herd seems like a reasonable response by rational owners.

Interesting.
Last week it was coyotes loose in NYC.
This week bison loose in Upstate NY.
