The Bible tells us that the goodness of God extends to all, even to those who won’t finally be part of those who are saved. Paul says he gives rain in its season, crops, and providential blessing.

Additionally, God gives us INSIDER INFORMATION. He tells us that there are some behaviors are DEADLY. These are sin. The wages of sin is death. But even sin is broken into those that are desperately deadly. These are abominations.

His warnings about these abominations are nothing more than factual. It is a wonderful blessing for Him to reveal to humanity what their experience will eventually prove to be deadly.

Homosexuality is one of those abominations, not because God is arbitrary or homophobic, but because this behavior is totally deadly dangerous. It might seem a simple matter of alternative choices, but instead it is revealed over time to have devastating effects biologically, socially, and spiritually.

It is highly associated with physical defect, deadly disease, social danger, actual death, and, for those who believe, spiritual death.

A providential God has given us warning as a blessing. He who has ears, let him hear.

“A providential God has given us warning as a blessing. He who has ears, let him hear.”

Amen. “For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.” Romans 5:6

“but God shows his love for us in that, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Roman 5:8

Jesus came to save the “ungodly” (ALL of us). However, He didn’t just come to save us from the penalty (hell) of sin, but from its’ domination over us (from sin itself). The Lord Jesus is in the business of saving souls and the lives they lead thereafter. He would be a poor savior to merely forgive sin, and leave the sinner an unchanged sinner. Absolutely - all excellent points.

I heard a Christian counselor once tell me that there were 3 things that his secular counselors admitted to him only seemed to be "cured" by the Christians.

Homosexuality, the guilt of abortion, and addiction.
