Well, it looks like I just found an area where I disagree with Senator Cruz. Unlimited legal immigration is little better than unlimited illegal immigration. We shouldn’t be taking in more than we can assimilate.
WRONG.
Taking in skilled, driven, educated legal immigrants who become fellow Americans in every way, is GOOD for America.
Trying to force American businesses to rely on an inferior workforce put out by the piss-poor American education system with kids so entitled that they have a piss-poor work ethic, and trying to force America to rely on this very flawed resource pool to provide innovative entrepreneurs, is guaranteed to make America WEAKER.
Legal immigrants since 1776 have powered a wonderful engine in America. You want to put it on hold? Rush Limbaugh often talks about how liberals try to describe prosperity and income in terms of a limited pie with only so many pieces to go around, when in truth the size of the "pie" transcends any of that, that the idea of one person becoming poor as a result of another one becoming rich, is a fallacy. Rush is correct -- and the SAME PRINCIPLE IS TRUE for America's ability to assimilate skilled, productive, innovative legal immigrants. We can assimilate ALL of them.
On the other hand, we cannot continue to thrive and prosper without them.
Big mistake.
Cruz is RIGHT -- as usual.
