When I’ve bought stuff made in Canada, the instructions, ingredients, etc are in English and in French.

Is Kreole a French-based language? I’ve never heard it spoken, but I haven’t been to Florida in over 20 years, and then only to visit...

Kreole is French-based. A French speaker can understand Kreole. Written out, it resembles Klingon. :)
