Traagic end to a young life.
That said - the writer/editor/PROOFREADER in me cringes again: “in a a series of valanches triggered...”
I wonder if many papers even HAVE a copywriter or proofreader any more?
My paper went without one for 2-3 years - until they finally figured out ‘spell-check’ doesn’t always cover it.
Spell check, used without proof reading, produces extraordinary oddities because it only determines if a word is properly spelled, not if it’s the right word in context. Thus, if a writer wants to use “precedent” but spells it as “president”, spell check will not catch that error.
