I plan to do the same thing the next time I get an information request from the IRS. And if my voluntary internal audit finds no errors, the IRS will just have to accept that conclusion and move on.

Why do I suspect that Common Cause is just a beard for a fake audit? Here’s the plan — super-honest and independent statesmen, like Jamie Gorelick and Sandy Berger, can head the commission, destroy the evidence, suppress the facts, and declare the Clinton Foundation innocent. The media will dutifully report that it was all a right wing conspiracy and genuflect before the throne.

The Clinton Foundation announced this week that they would conduct a voluntary internal audit after the exposure of their failure to properly declare millions of dollars from foreign governments to the IRS.

Didn’t Sarbanes Oxley make it a legal requirement that statements of financial standing be signed by the principals of an organization and equivalent to sworn statements?
