The only excuse I have for this is that Reagan achieved the pinnacle of his popularity AFTER he was out of office. In the 6th and 7th years of his term, he was being hounded by Iran Contra investigations.
That’s a good point but I don’t believe 0bama comes close to equaling Reagans popularity even with that.
