Because of the wind, causing embers to travel to abandoned buildings.
Cops keep requesting more transportation. Sounds like they are stretched pretty thin.
I agree; no ebonics and I was surprised that the mayor answered questions in a coherent manner and could think on her feet. You don't have to agree with everything she said, but she wasn't a loon (as you noted she wasn't) like Maxine Waters or some of the others on the national scene.
