It has become increasingly clear that Christians, like Native Americans, cling to traditions and beliefs out of step with mainstream America. Christians, therefore, should be treated like Native Americans.
In Robert Heinlein's "Future Histories", that's exactly what happened. It was called Coventry, and those who could not adjust to the new order were sent to live there.
