(VIDEO-AT-LINK)

On MSNBC's coverage of Baltimore on Tuesday afternoon, network anchor Al Sharpton denounced last night's rioting in the city but also said we cannot "tolerate" those on the "far right" who "may not care" about Freddie Gray.

AL SHARPTON: The fact is that we cannot let the looting and rioting become used by those that might want to justify over and overly aggressive policing. And two, to lose in the process of the discussion, the fact that this is about Freddie Gray and justice for he and his family. I tell a lot of young people that we cannot tolerate those on the far right that may not care about Freddie Gray....

I don't give a sh#t about Freddie; didn't know him, never heard of him before the Baltimore riots, and I think he was probably a known criminal, otherwise why arrest him to begin with.
That said; the cops are responsible for taking care of the people they arrest, not having them mysteriously die while they are in custody.

If this asshole had been in PRISON where he belonged he would probably still be alive.

"Justice for he and his family"?

If the Rev. Sharpton ever tires of his mission as a man of the cloth, maybe he can teach English grammar at some prestigious college.

What would it cost to ship the criminal element elsewhere and give them enough to live on for about 5 years, en masse?

I'm sure there would be an ROI to calculate. It's why I would agree to spending billions on a HUGE Supermax federal prison out in West Texas. I mean a facility for about 500K inmates with only a heavily guarded and armorred perimeter. Airlift inmates in and nobody leaves, EVER. Let the states purge their own prisons for criminals that can be "reformed" or only have some minor offenses. States could lease the "care" of inmates to the fed. But make sure there are no cameras or media allowed into the interior, EVER. If we don't see it, it didn't happen. I am sure there would never be a problem with over crowding. That would take care of itself. Air drop food and pump in some water. This too would save us money and reduce the crime rate. You could even throw illegals (multiple offenders in there).

It's a fantasy. But just the idea of the place would reduce crime.
