What does his rap sheet have to do with being hand-cuffed in a car and driven around recklessly? Nothing in the law prescribes that, even for a person who just committed multiple homicides? I’m sure they weren’t driving for self defense?

He committed a bunch of crimes, but was never charged with injuring anyone, and destroyed property once.

Career thug.

Blacks just rally around their thugs. Sadly I suppose that’s all they have to make their “martyrs” of nowadays in the urban feral fatherless communities.

So if he was in jail, as he should have been, he’d still be alive.

SURELY they were the ONLY assaults this poor guy EVER committed and just happened to get caught on both.

What terrible luck! And to think he just turned his life around that morning too...

Okay, I missed the two assault charges. But in my original post I noted it wouldn’t matter if he was arrested for multiple homicides. Was it the job of the police to punish him before he was taken in? They were just making it easier for some lawyer to get him off, and endangering other people’s. (If that is what they did.)

Just to be clear: you think the police acted properly if they did punish a handcuffed prisoner when transporting him to a detention facility?

Exactly right. How many other assaults were plea-bargained out or never even listed.

They were so spaced out too that it would indicate this was his normal way of doing business. What drug dealer doesn’t use violence to keep his territory? Or regard violence as an acceptable and appropriate way to deal with what they see as negative situations?

Having known a couple, EVERY ONE of them has either personally assaulted or sicced his guys on multiple ‘problems’.

One guy I went to school with took pride in it. So I have a really hard time getting all ‘concerned’ if the wheel of Karma ran over Snowflake’s dogma. It doesn’t make it ‘right’ in the legal sense if in fact the cops trashed him (which I doubt) but if they did...

Live by the sword, die by the sword.

I actually don’t know. If this guy actually had some kind of surgery prior/recently to his back, and the dude has a history of violence, it wouldn’t surprise me at all if he did something in the van that got him put down on the floor of the van, a takedown like you see on cops, and his recently operated back couldn’t take it.

I don’t think he’s just an innocent perp here. I just don’t see it.

If it was a takedown on him for going off on the cops in the van, I would not describe it as the cops “punishing him” but rather attempting to re-establish control over a prisoner that is acting out towards them. You can’t have a prisoner out of control and going after you in a police van. If he had surgery the prior week he was an idiot to do it. You see how cops take down people on the street and he knows how he’s gonna be taken down, same as always, he’s had it happen dozens of times before.

So I will ask you the sawm way you asked me,

Just to be clear, you’ve arleady judged the cops guilty and in your mind there is no scenario where the cops were just attempting to restrain a crimnal who was being transported who had recent back surgery and he still went off on them, and died because of his own actions requiring the police to get him back under control, and in the process his back was broken? Under no circumstance can you see the guy could have possibly required getting under control and in his post surery state was an idiot to be acting that way, not thinking that maybe with his recent back surgeries if they have to take me down they could break my back and I might die?

The way you worded the question you assume I am in agreement with your conclusion.

I said “I don’t know”. My belief is that I do not believe they decided to simply punish a perp for sh1ts and grins. I pretty much reject your premise.

There’s no way to defend the police behavior in this incident. I’m normally 100% on the cops’ side, but they were clearly wrong here.

That said, noting about this case justifies the riots that have taken place. Peaceful protests are one thing, but riots are another.

Watch the video. His spinal cord was probably severed at the neck before he was dragged to the van.

Can you imagine how certifiable any cop would have to be after Saint Skittles and the Gentle Giant, to intentionally kill or even severely beat a black perp?

Such a cop would have to have a record of violence and simply not GAF. I would tend to think that any cop that far gone, in today’s hypersensitive/PC forces would have been officially ‘gone’ from the force the day Saint Skittles got his life turned around. The cops weren’t even THERE and still got blamed for a ton of crap. Then Saint Swisher martyred hisself for the cause and the cop had to quit in fear of his family’s life. And there is not one cop in America unaware of the NYC witch hunt by the mayor. So I imagine every force in the country expects something on that level from their local pols.

So we are to believe that even when confronted with this crapstain of a proven to be violent human, they ignored VERY recent history and put the boots to him?

Talk about not passing the smell test...
