The evidence suggests very strongly that the left-wing, Democratic claques that run a great many American cities — particularly the poor and black cities — are not capable of running a school system or a police department. They are incompetent, they are corrupt, and they are breathtakingly arrogant.

In my city the same is happening. And whats unfortunate is the local GOP has surrendered, not bothering to launch a campaign with a Conservative message. Heck I suspect some Republicans here have voted for that Stalinist Steve Cohen(D).

For 48 years, or since 1967m Baltimore, Maryland has been governed exclusively by Democratic mayors and city councils.

For 28 years, or since 1987, Democrats have controlled both of Maryland's seats in the U.S. Senate.

Democrats currently compose NINE of Maryland's ten-member Congressional delegation.

In his televised comments Obama intimated that you and I are to blame when he said we, "need to do some soul searching".

I would agree with him that those who vote democRAT should reevaluate their support for a political party and its policies that have allowed and even caused the black family to deteriorate the way it has.

American cities are by and large Democratic-party monopolies, monopolies generally dominated by the so-called progressive wing of the party. The results have been catastrophic....

....but are in the main looting businesses and carrying out acts of wanton opportunistic vandalism...

Toilet paper and hair extensions. The pettiness of it stands in stark contrast to the havoc they wreak.

Adam Jackson declared that in Baltimore “the Democrats and the Republicans have both failed.” Really? Which Republicans? Ulysses S. Grant?

There's been a Republican governor for three months. That must be whom Jackson is referring to.

nd the kids in the street screaming about “inequality”? Somebody should tell them that the locale in these United States with the least economic inequality is Utah, i.e. the state farthest away from the reach of the people who run Baltimore.

Interesting.... Hadn't considered Utah for residence till now.

There’s nothing ‘Democratic’ about the DemocRAT party.

When are the Blacks going to realize what the Democrats have done to them over the years? They voted against the Civil Rights Act, they perpetuated poverty through creation of ghettos and tenements giving the welfare check, they created the ‘hood’ and hopelessness, they created a gang atmosphere, they kept Blacks dependent upon their social programs, and on and on and on.

Quiz time. In which city have African Americans had the most success in. A clue, they had two Republican mayors for 20 years.

St. Louis has not had a Republican mayor since the 1940s, and in its most recent elections for the board of aldermen there was no Republican in the majority of the contests; the city is overwhelmingly Democratic, effectively a single-party political monopoly from its schools to its police department.

...

What happens is Republicans becomes Democrats in name only, because it’s the only way to get elected. In effect a uniparty is the result. It’s similar to what we have at the national level, except the two parties still exist as a facade.
