But also remember that just about everyone on the entire political and social scene -- not just the political parties -- went into the Obama Administration with one thought in mind: "The 'first black president' CANNOT be a failure, or there will never be another one."
That attitude is less prevalent today, but it's still there. A VAST number of people are willing to literally bend reality itself to ensure that the "first black president" is never presented as anything but successful, smart and competent.
Agreed. But the context of my point is that all those people would have been stopped dead in their tracks because Barry COULD NOT have done the things he did without Republican help. All the capitulations, refusals to fight on major issues, show votes and actual siding with this misadministration that led to Obama’s success came from the lesser evils in the GOp. The people we were told by ‘conservatives’ here...screamed at in fact, as being ‘better’ than a Democrat openly sided with Democrats. Bhoner. Mitch. Lindsay. Cochran...the list is long.
Had we taken the hit and ousted Bhoner and Mitch we would not be where we are.
We would have have still retained power in congress and been rid of our largest problems. But no. Liberal ‘Conservatives screamed, stomped, through themselves on the floor and kicked. And in doing so, convinced spineless sheep to send them back to DC.
How is that working out?
