I don’t understand...the entire thing (ethanol and biodiesel) is corrupt and a sham. Of course, it’s a GOVERNMENT-SANCTIONED sham...
I was speaking with a farmer in Indiana about ethanol. To the area I was in, the ethanol economy was like manna from heaven. However, it was high-stakes for them...they have to spend increasing amounts of money (high-tech seeds, expensive fertilizer (guess from what feedstock fertilizer is made, by the way) to get the yields up...but just like it has always been, they are dependent on the weather. One bust year REALLY hurts these days.
