Yup-When I was little, just the IDEA of facing my father when I was wrong... that was enough to keep me in line.

I agree .. I don’t recall my dad ever laying a hand on me .. all he had to do was look at me and I knew I was in trouble.

On the other hand, I was the first one he would ask to join him at his favorite baseball games (he was a fan of a minor league team in San Jose, CA). He loved it because he had played minor league baseball when he was a young single guy.

Those moments told me how much he cared about me.

He died when I was 16 .. and I still miss him.
