This a disturbing video but it is also a chance to see what happens when dealing with a drunk. Excessive force? Could have been handled different. Do we need to have a DOJ run police force? No! These things happen. The left is always looking at ways to dismantle our police force. Like the lyrics of the Rolling Stones, cops are criminals and all criminals saints.

>>Excessive force?<<

Asking this as a question? Good grief. This woman went down violently face first. That could very well have ended her life.

If she had died, would it then be excessive force? Another post spelled it out. Here is a girl, drunk, officers twice/three times her size, could easily had brought her to the floor without endangering her life.

Think about your daughter or son going to spring break, having a lil too much to drink and the cops slamming them face first into the floor.

Many bouncers are more competent in dealing with drunks, and men who've been extensively trained for enlisted rank direct combat duties (not officers, not rear-echelon specialties) have been better cleared for calmness and sanity in dangerous situations.

"Do we need to have a DOJ run police force? No!"

That's a snipe hunt being pushed by equally socialist state and local special interests bent on controlling the private affairs of Americans (builders' rackets, anti-manufacturing ordinances, etc.). States have the right to make their own laws, and the DOJ doesn't want to do state and local policing. There's a difference between that and prosecuting cases for public integrity (which is sorely lacking, especially in sparsely populated counties in areas of tourism).

Our forefathers who were retired, big city chiefs during the ‘60s and ‘70s wrote books to convey good advice from experiences (e.g., avoiding the us-vs.-them perspective). It’s a shame that their work isn’t being studied and followed.
