Good idea. :-) Whatever works best for you.
For the record, the port gave me a serious infection (which is very rare - most people do well with a port). A PICC line worked better... for a while. Eventually, that was removed, too, and my last few treatments were just like yours - right in the arm. Whatever works...
That would be my sign.
Sorry to hear about the port. When I was hurt back in 2009 they had a big port straight into the area around my heart... I don't remember what they called it. Big port, nicely done, didn't know it was stitched in until they took it out.
But I was inpatient then.
