We fragment next year, so we’ll be in sync with the Brits again. The Democratic and Republican Uni-party will be joined by the New Federalist (Tea) Party and the New Socialist Party.

Need to remove “good” from “good governance” in the last line.

Political fragmentation makes things ungovernable. Polarization enables governance. Which, particularly in a closely polarized environment (like the US has) incentivises the party that has the more effective leadership tools to take steps to completely dominate the party that doesn’t.
